Finally in San Francisco.

Yesterday was our first ”real” day in San Francisco. We arrived yesterday after an awful long flight, first we flew from Billund to Copenhagen very early in the morning and then we flew to San Francisco. We had to wait about one and a half hour for security check which was very tiring, since I had not slept for 48 hours. Unfortunately, my luggage was missing, so I had to fill out some forms and I received 100 dollars so I could buy the basic things I needed. Besides that, our bus did not show up, so we had to wait a long time before it could come and get us. My first impression of the city was the very beautiful architecture and the fairly warm climate, which just was a big difference in contrast to Denmark.
We started our day with breakfast in the lounge of our hostel, which was totally american. The breakfast contained bagels large jars of peanut butter, Nutella and lots of jam. The people at the hostel are really friendly and open-minded, and it is really easy to have a conversation with them. After breakfast, we were hearing a presentation about his life and the American way of living. He was originally from Egypt and he had studied at a university in Denmark for a couple of years. Now he is a professor at a college in California. Afterwards we walked into the city, which is only a small distance from our hostel. Then we were riding a tourist bus, which was called “The Macig Bus”. The bus was very colorful and played very loud music. Our guide was a hippie, whom clearly was on drugs. I have never seen such a crazy women like her, she kept dancing and yelled at people on the street, but she generally talked about the sixties. We also had to wear a yellow flower in our hair, and she past some LSH around and she talked about how much she liked to get high. Anyway, it was a fun experience and I got some really nice pictures. After the tour-bus, we had some time for shopping and I literally went crazy. I used a lot of money in shops like, Victoria’s Secret, Mac, CVS, and many clothes shops. San Francisco is probably the best city, I have ever been in, it is so amazing. There were also some people who were “too friendly”, and tried to give us weed and stuff like that. We were also lost in the city and we could not find back, so there were a homeless guy who insisted to follow us over there. I think he had some kind of disorder he seemed really strange, and he said he wanted to ask us out for dinner, and he gave us lots of compliments. For dinner, we found a good restaurant/café, which made amazing pasta. We ate at nine. PM so were all really craving, since we hadn’t been eating for almost 14 hours.
Today we are going to see Alcatraz, Stanford University and do a “little” shopping. I am going to put some pictures in later, when I have a little more time. Im sorry if there are many spelling mistakes, I am very tired today!
